University of Scranton
Founded in 1888 as St. Thomas College, the University of Scranton is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Today, the University boasts an enrollment of approximately 6,000 graduate and undergraduate students across 65 bachelor's, 29 master's, and 2 doctoral programs. In addition to several politicians, journalists, judges, actors, CEOs, generals, historians, and professional athletes, their notable alumni include an archbishop, a U.S. Senator, a Tony Award-winning director, a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, and (fictionally, at least) Dunder Mifflin employee, Jim Halpert of The Office.

A private, Catholic institution in Northeast Pennsylvania founded in 1888,
The University of Scranton is celebrated for its Jesuit tradition, commitment to academic excellence, and culture of belonging and mutual respect.
While the University continues to receive consistent national rankings—for everything from its incredible faculty to its food—the University was ready for an updated brand and reimagined enrollment suite to appeal to a new slate of prospective students, their parents, and guidance counselors.
Our work began with an in-depth discovery—on campus and beyond—meeting Scranton’s passionate faculty, staff, and students, soaking in the vibrant energy of campus life, and exploring Scranton, the “Electric City,” with its dynamic mix of tradition and innovation.
After our discovery phase, which included a brand and competitor audit, we got to work on brand messaging, creative concepts, and a cohesive brand style guide. Our next task was to create a comprehensive suite of enrollment materials showcasing Scranton’s values, academic strengths, and tight-knit community. This viewbook is a huge part of that project.
