Known for its innovative, interdisciplinary approach to professional education and preparing students for the future of work, Thomas Jefferson University is a private research university located in Philadelphia. The university was founded in 1824 as a medical school. Since merging with Philadelphia University in 2017, Jefferson now offers programs in the areas of architecture, business, design, engineering, fashion & textiles, health, medicine, nursing, science, and the social sciences.

Thomas Jefferson University 2021 Fashion Show.
For decades, the senior fashion design majors at Jefferson capped off their college experience with a professionally produced fashion show complete with dozens of models, hundreds of guests, and industry representatives. It was a chance for students to both show off their hard work and make professional connections. When the limitations imposed by COVID restrictions made a traditional show impossible, we suggested turning to video as an alternative.
The result was an hour-long video fashion show comprising 21 individual designer profiles. This modular structure not only allowed Jefferson’s admissions and marketing teams to custom tailor the piece for specific audiences (it can easily be condensed or expanded by adding or removing profiles based on criteria such as “Superstars” or “First Generation College Graduates” or “International Students”), but it also gave each graduating senior their own video portfolio that could be shared with family, friends, and most importantly, potential employers.
